      Arbace,
the great Egyptian priest, calls Jone, Glaucos patrician lover,
        to see his temple.
The powerful sorcerer desires her and he tries to deceive her by showing
        her
an artificial image of Glauco with another woman
(this is one of the first example of "special effects" in the history
        of cinema).
Jone is upset and Arbace tries to harass her.
Apoacide, Jones brother and Arbaces pupil, saves her and so
        she can run away.
Arbace swears revenge on Apoacide. |
